Robbins might possess one of the more impressive CVs in Hollywood, but he's no rock star and it's clear his performance skills are not necessarily transferable. The feeble singing voice might be excused if it at least carried some presence, while his songwriting consists of little more than rudimentary impressions of Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan. A competent, A-list backing band keeps things listenable, but would this have been made were it not for his considerable star power? Very doubtful.
