Jeremy Warmsley's debut album - named after David Lodge's tutorial book, don't you know? - suggests there is, just about. Warmsley reflects intriguingly upon our struggle for intimacy: I Knew That Her Face Was a Lie and Modern Children in particular repay repeated plays to pick out their nuances of viewpoint and feeling. Throughout, gentle keyboards, trumpet, glockenspiel, off-kilter rhythm and sundry sound effects do enough to tickle the ear without ever quite giving the milkman a simple tune to whistle on his round.
