The tabloid allure of Michael Hutchence and his sexual exploits eventually eclipsed the profile of his band. This live at Wembley concert DVD is a startling reminder of just how enormous INXS were back in 1991, despite the encroaching cloud of Seattle grunge.
Their music was relentlessly upbeat, and sounded machine-tooled for the world's biggest stadiums. They may have lacked U2's epic grandeur or Queen's melodic agility, but they knew how to pump Big Rock to the mullet-sporting masses, and this gig finds them at the peak of their efficiency.
The disc features a running band commentary on the concert itself as well as a 40 minute documentary and new interviews with the group's surviving members. Surprisingly, they still sound relentlessly upbeat.
