Omar Lye-Fook is best remembered for his sultry 1991 neo-soul hit, There's Nothing Like This, but his expensively-assembled fifth album looks to change that. The minimalist airy electronic soul adopts the feel of Stevie Wonder's early 1970s albums - Be a Man is suspiciously close to Innervisions' Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing. So it's no surprise that the Motown legend himself turns up to offer trademark - if autopilot - vocals to Feeling You. A star-studded cast also includes Angie Stone, Estelle and Rodney P, but Omar never quite relinquishes the spotlight. He's at his best on electro funk stompers like Your Mess. Elsewhere, super-smooth arrangements and lyrical cliches just about cover the fact that Sing (If You Want It) sounds too familiar for its own good.
